Pradeep Chandra: A photographer who paints with his camera, or, a painter who photographs with a brush. When he sets the apparture, the mundane transforms to monumental. In a blink he captures what ordinary eyes miss. When he washes the negative away in a dark room the canvas lights up with arresting images of tales of times eternal. Even when he dabbles as a painter or a writer, his words have the same effect of painting a picture and his paintings narrate a story. With his camera, he sets apart the crucial from the trivial whether it is politics or culture, art or nature. Very rarely does the combination of a photographer, painter and a writer comes across. And when it does the result is called “Pradeep Chandra”.
